Welcome to Advanced Family Eyecare in Jennings. Doctors Fontenot and Duarte and the Advanced Family Eyecare team strive to provide the best in optometry services. Meet the Optometrist

    Shane Fontenot
    O.D.
    Optometrist

    Raised in Jennings, Dr. Shane Fontenot attended Jennings high school and then attended McNeese State U. to pursue a pre-med degree. After graduating with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry, Dr. Fontenot continued on to the U. of Houston Optometry School where he was involved in everything from tutoring students to corneal research. Finishing first in his class in optometry school and graduating Summa Cum Laude in all three schools, Dr. Fontenot moved back to Jennings in May and started Advanced Family Eyecare in September 2007. He is a member of the Jeff Davis Business Alliance, the Lions Club, and the Kiwanis Club. Dr. Fontenot also actively participates in church activities.

    Raised in Broussard, LA, Dr. Lindsay Duarte received her B.S degree from UL of Lafayette and her doctorate from University of Houston School of Optometry. She is a member of "The 705 - Young Leaders for a Better Acadiana". She enjoys reading, fishing, movies, visiting with family and friends and decorating her new home in Scott, LA.
